**Job Title: Communications Assistant**

**Location:** 4955 Montee St Hubert, St Hubert Qc & Remote

**Contract Duration:** 12 Weeks from start date

**Salary:** $18-$19hour, based on experience

 

**Overview:**

The Communications Assistant supports promotional efforts by creating content for social media, newsletters, and posters. This role focuses on increasing program visibility, sharing stories from our programs, and helping the community stay informed about Phoenix activities and events.

 

**Key Dates:**

  • This position is a summer job funded by the Government of Canada's youth employment grants.

  • 12 weeks of funding available from the start date

  • must be completed from May 1 to September 1

 

**Responsibilities:**

  • Assist in creating and sharing content for Phoenix’s website, newsletters, and social media platforms.

  • Help promote programs, events, and community initiatives through posters, digital media, and email communications.

  • Capture photos and short videos during programs and events for promotional use.

  • Support the development of marketing materials such as flyers, event graphics, and announcements.

  • Maintain and update website and social media pages with current information.

  • Work collaboratively with the Phoenix team to help increase program awareness and community engagement

 

**Qualifications:**

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and other digital tools.

  • Basic graphic design skills or experience with tools such as Canva or similar design platforms.

  • Organized, creative, and able to manage multiple tasks.

  • Interest in community programming, events, and communications.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in communications, marketing, media, or a related field is considered an asset.

  • Must be reliable, positive, and enthusiastic about supporting community programs.
